The breakfast is amazing every time! Kathy even gave us some of her home made dog treats for our dog, and they were apparently delicious too!”

“We love to snowmobile, and it was so fun to stay at Northern Comfort last winter. After our great breakfast of blueberry stuffed French toast and lots of good coffee, we put on our snowmobile suits, walked out the front door, and got on our sleds. We took the long way to Ely, had a delicious lunch, and then rode the snowmobile over to Lake Vermilion to visit friends. When we got home later that evening, we had a glass of wine with Kathy and Pam, and then took a fabulous hot sauna. On Sunday, we started over! Our next trip involved bringing a whole family of friends and our four-wheeler. We picked raspberries, went riding, had a bonfire, and then all jumped in the sauna after that. The whole weekend was great fun, and we highly recommend this place to everyone.”

“This is the third time my husband and I have stayed at Northern Comfort. We slept so well in our room that we almost missed the huge breakfast we look forward to each trip. This was our first trip during the winter, so we took advantage of the great cross-country skiing in the area, as well as the sleigh rides in nearby Aurora. The sauna was a perfect place to relax and unwind from all our activities, and it was great to spend some down time in the evenings over a couple of glasses of wine. Pam and Kathy are such wonderful hosts, it feels like we’re staying with family (minus the family drama). We are so thankful to have found such a great spot to forget about our worries in the city – and we look forward to coming back in the spring!”
